Sick as a dog...but made cupcakes.

So I have been feeling like I'm coming down with something. But, I was dying last night to make some red velvet cupcakes that I had in mind...not to mention I had made those beautiful little fondant flowers and bears. I wanted to use them.

So, I got a second wind and decided to go for it...boy was that a bad idea. I made them and got half way done with decorating them when my sinus head-ache hit and it felt like my head was going to explode.

I have a massive amount of homework to do but I don't feel like doing anything. So here I am watching HBO and trying very hard to not go in there and eat every last cupcake.

My DH has been spoiling me rotten with chocolate for Valentines day and then I go and add more sugar and make these beauties. I'm quite proud of myself and the decorating. Though I did feel like I should have done a better job at placing them on the plates. I know that this will be better when I have all the right tools. One of the things that I'm missing is a turntable for decorating on. I think it would be a lot easier that way.

But they turned out pretty good...the ones I didn't drop decorated side down on the plate...lol!

I have been watching tv all day and caught the last few minutes of Julie and Julia. It's a great movie for those who haven't seen it. I love the way she made one whole year of her life about something that though not always, for the most part made her happy. It's kind of the way that I feel about going to pastry school. I feel like I'm taking that strange leap into the unknown and doing something that I never would have done before.

Finally getting to go to Pastry school is so amazing. I'm just hoping that it's all going to work out with very little problems along the way...because I really feel like this is where God is going to take us. So, till then I just have to keep telling myself to Practice at home and focus on SCHOOL! Speaking of which. I think I have procrastinated long enough. I have to stop blogging and get to MATH...YUKKK Maybe a cupcake will make Math easier...I hope.
