When it rains...

So, life has been good for the past few days. We have been cooking and cleaning and doing some homework...oh and the sky is falling in on me...lol

It seams like every time that something good happens it comes in like a flood and the same goes for when it goes bad. We have been having car trouble (I broke down on the side of the road heading to school on Thursday) and we had to get that fixed. We found out that my old laptop that I was going to use for school is a 500 dollar paperweight. Dad has been going through a really rough time getting used to being home and being in his new state of constant need of care. And then the clencher...last night I got a call from mom at 2am saying that Uncle Michael was on his way into the hospital in an ambulance...and that I needed to drive to La Feria to wake up Uncle Kevin ( who doesn't have a phone) and ask him to go stay with Memaw because after her hip surgery she can't stay by herself. OYVEY!!!!

But at the same time we were able to find at a really good price, this new HP Mini that will be really nice to take to school both at TSTC and LCB. We also found a great job in Austin at a High school that Peter applied for (please pray that he will get it if this is a good job for him). So I guess when it rains good things and bad things you can complain to much about the puddles.

I also found that driving and trying to stay awake at 2am in the morning and talking to God is pretty neat. I was able to stay awake and keep my eyes on the road and be able to thank God for everything good that has been going on. One of the things that has been happening is I will be talking to someone one day and be basically bragging on God. Saying all the good things that have been happening and all the things that I know he is going to do to make sure we get through this hard times and make it to Austin....then BAMMMMM!!! Satan attacks the very next day...trying to make me mad and give up on the good things that God is doing! Well, I'm not going to give in. I'm going to hold on tight to everything that I know I am promised and given by God.

So until we get to Austin, I am expecting Satan to try and ruin everything and I know that God is going to keep His word and hold onto the blessings that He is going to give us.

Keep praying for us all and especially Dad and Uncle Michael.
